How does Botox work?
Botox and similar neuromodulators like Jeuveau, Xeomin, and Daxxify are FDA-approved injectable proteins that reduce fine lines and wrinkles by blocking nerve signals to muscles, preventing them from contracting. This causes wrinkles to relax and soften.
What does a Botox treatment feel like?
The procedure is quick and may cause minor pinching or stinging, but discomfort typically fades immediately after.
How long does Botox last?
Botox generally lasts three to four months, depending on factors like wrinkle depth, metabolism, skin care habits, activity level, stress, smoking, and sun exposure.
How soon will I see my results from Botox?
Botox starts working immediately, with visible results typically within one week. Some areas, like crow's feet, may show results in as little as three days, while others, like the forehead, may take up to eight days. It takes two to three weeks for your results to finalize.
How does filler work?
Dermal fillers are gel-like substances injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume and smooth lines and enhance facial contours. Golden Aesthetics offers various fillers to meet individual needs.
How long does filler last?
Results typically last 12-18 months, but it is likely that the bulk of your treatment will last for much longer. This may vary depending on the product, treatment area, and individual metabolism. Regular maintenance may be recommended for lasting effects.
How do I choose between Hyperdilute Radiesse and Sculptra?
In order to decide between Hyperdilute Radiesse and Sculptra, your treatment goals and individual anatomy will be considered. Radiesse, with calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA), provides a firmer lift immediately while stimulating collagen and elastin, making it ideal for the face, neck, and décolletage, especially if you require some immediate volume. It typically requires one to three treatments, with results lasting 18-24 months.
Sculptra, containing poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), works gradually to enhance collagen production deep within the skin, providing subtle, long-term improvements in texture and firmness. It’s best for restoring volume and texture in areas like the cheeks, temples, and jawline with results also developing over several months. Both options offer 18-24 months of benefits, with individual sessions at $750 or a package of three for $2100.
